i figure he's a soldier (most prolly a gate guard) in a city that DONT see much action.

For me he looks little like Rohan men-at-arm. Mayby it's couse of green clothes.

lol. I mean for your armour designs. Do you, for example, look at existing armour and learn from there? Or are you exceptionally gifted and make up your own designs? :)
